Jay Hamilton

Jay Hamilton is the Founder and Managing Partner at Hamilton IP Law. Jay went into Chemical Engineering, completing his B.S. at The University of Iowa in 1991. After graduation from Iowa, Jay worked as a Chemical Engineer & Operations Supervisor in the oil refining industry. Jay earned a dual degree in business and law, receiving his M.B.A in Finance and Entrepreneurship from The University of Iowa Henry B. Tippie College of Business in 1999 and his J.D., with distinction, in 2000 from The University of Iowa College of Law. Jay is a member of the Scott County and Johnson County Bar Associations, the Iowa Intellectual Property Law Association (“IIPLA”), and a former Board Member of the Quad City I-Club. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for the predictive analytics company Armatics, Jay combines his entrepreneurial drive, technical experience, legal acumen, and business savvy for a unique blend of consultation that prepares his clients for a competitive and evolving marketplace, allowing them to stay flexible and prepared to Own The Market®.
